Bertha McMath

Centenarians of Oklahoma honored Norman resident, Bertha McMath, and inducted her into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame on the occasion of her 100th birthday celebration. She met her husband on the first day of second grade. They married after World War II and toured 49 states Canada and Mexico in an RV. Bertha taught school for years retiring at age 88. She is a lifelong Southern Baptist and stays actively involved in all the activities of her family. Her family holds 14 degrees from University of Oklahoma. She shares these words of wisdom: “Put God and family first in your life!”
